Happening at Archwood:

UCC Synod videos online

The UCC General Synod- The UCC's biennial national meeting- took place in late June in Milwaukee. Much of the meeting was videotaped and is now available online including multiple worship services, theological reflections, and discussions of resolutions for the body to approve that addressed many justice issues. The videos are available at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6VgfHt6xEy7DVkQMy-HxeKJA1MnVflUA

Next produce sale: July 28

Archwood UCC sells produce to the public at discount prices on the second and fourth weekends of each month from 11am to 2pm. We have been selling Saturdays, but we are switching to Sundays. Come and help, or just come and buy, in the Fellowship Hall in the church basement – or, in nice weather, on the front sidewalk. Without a supermarket or farmer’s market in our neighborhood, we’re doing our bit to offer fresh fruits and vegetables that can otherwise be hard to find. Interested? Questions? Contact Dale Lindsey, 810-333-0816, 2dalesden@gmail.com.

Take a stand, Make a difference, Change a life, Get Involved Today!

CASA of Cuyahoga County, a program of Child and Family Advocates of Cuyahoga County, is searching for volunteers to advocate for kids who have been neglected and abused. CASAs are everyday citizens who are trained and appointed by the court to advocate for the safety and well-being of children. CASAs collect information that helps the court make the best decision for a safe, caring, and permanent home for children involved in the juvenile justice and child welfare systems. The CASA is responsible for investigation, facilitation, advocacy, and monitoring of the assigned child’s case and to represent the child’s best interests.

Those interested in becoming a CASA, visit www.cfadvocates.org to apply or call 216.443.3377 for more information.

We're selling fruits and vegetables to the public at discount prices on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. Find us from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the front sidewalk, or in the Fellowship Hall in the church basement if it rains. Without a supermarket or farmer's market in our part of the West Side, we're doing our bit to offer healthy food that can otherwise be hard to find. All are welcome.
